Gen d’Hiroshima, de Keiji Nakazawa (2 DVD – 1983, 1986). Ce film, tiré du manga du même nom, relate la tragédie d’Hiroshima vue du sol par un enfant. Dur, poignant, fascinant, ce n’est pas un manga pour les gosses. Personnes sensibles s’abstenir. Chef d’oeuvre.
Princesse Mononoke

Princesse Mononoke, de Hayao Miyazaki (1997) – Le chef d’oeuvre de Miyazaki. Une ode à la nature, un conte écolo. Un film superbe sur le rapport de l’être humain à son environnement. Animation 100% artisanale.

Persepolis, de Marjane Satrapi (2007) – L’Iran vu par les yeux d’une petit fille, née dans une famille d’intellectuels critiques vis-à-vis des régimes en place, la dictature du Shah dans un premier temps, celui des mollahs ensuite. La petite fille grandit, devient ado, puis jeune femme. Elle se décide à quitter l’Iran pour pouvoir vivre son émancipation en Europe. Pas si simple. Récit autobiographique  poignant, captivant, un graphisme superbe.
